Sunday SchoolSunday School is for Pre-school to Year 6 children. We meet every Sunday of the school term during the second half of the morning service. Classes are arranged according to age group and visitors are always made welcome. In 2007 we were involved in presenting a Christmas play at two retirement villages. Youth Bible StudyThis new group meets at 5:15 pm on Sundays before the evening service. While our studies are best suited for Year 7 to 9 students, all high school children are most welcome to attend. In 2008 we are learning how to defend our faith by looking into God's word for answers to some of the common misconceptions about Christianity. Young Adults GroupThe Young Adults group meets at 7:45pm on Friday nights. A typical meeting involves singing hymns & choruses, studying God's word, a time of prayer and fellowship over supper. Once in a while we plan social events and invite our non-church friends. These have included a putt putt golf night, bowling and movies. In the first half of 2008 we will be studying the end times. Anyone from Year 10 to uni age is most welcome to join us! Prayer GroupTuesday Prayer Meeting We meet 8:00pm every Tuesday night at the church to pray for our church ministries, events, members, missionaries & leaders. We believe in the importance of prayer and the need to present all of our praises, concerns and requests to God in this way. Every Day Prayer Chain In the same way, we believe it is important for members of the church to be united in prayer when they are not united in presence. The prayer chain is operational every day of the week and no request is considered too small. |
